Picture Number 6: Living In the Shadows

Last year's elections yielded record amounts of voters, me being one of them. I had recently turned 18, and was excited to vote for the first time. It was a cold and bright morning. As we stood in line for two hours, I was amused at how bizarre the line must have looked. People from all ages, shapes, and sizes standing in line for hours, reading yellow papers, and shivering from the cold wind. I wanted to take a picture of the line, but didn't want to offend anyone. Instead I decided to take a picture of the people's shadows. It shows how different everyone's shadow is, but at the same time how unified we can be.
